Man Finds Kitten Outside His Garage And Realizes He’s A Little Different

Joshua Hebert was cleaning up his yard in Tampa, Florida last June when he saw a person cowering in the driveway. On my way home, I noticed an orange tabby cat sitting by our garage door, Hebert said. He was standing on the concrete in the sun and it was about 90 degrees.

Mrs. Hebert checked the area but found no sign of the mother cat. So she quickly took a video and showed it to her husband, José Tortol. Mr. Hebert knows there is a colony of feral cats in his neighborhood, so he tries to be nice to them when they are around.

@mr.gardeners When we realized our kitten was blind. 😭 He’s a tough boy though, and he’s driving now! #blindkitten #kitten #kittenrescue #kittensoftiktok ♬ Dreamy – Elijah Lee

Whiskers was taken to the vet for a checkup and given eye drops, eye ointment and antibiotics.

Now six months old, Wessex is an energetic, independent cat who loves to play with his parents and two dog brothers.

He’s the cutest, says Hebert. He will never lay his paws on you when you are playing. He is very sweet. She added: Every time he eats, he gets excited. He walks around the house and runs everywhere. While Wishers still needs therapy and growing up, he’s happy as long as he’s with one of his parents. And Hébert and Tortorello are grateful to share their life and their home with him.

We love it so much, says Hebert. He was definitely part of the family.
