While driving down a snowy road in Canada last weekend, Leona Klassen and her husband, Ron, came across a sight they won’t soon forget.
There, in the wintry landscape, just beside the road, walked five majestic lynxes.
The pair simply had to be removed for a better look.
“We were blown away,” Klassen said. “None of us had ever seen a lynx before, let alone five in a pack.”
The infamous wildcats, their long fluffy coats keeping them warm in the chilly February air, looked unfazed as Klassen began snapping photos.
“They were quiet and calm,” he said. “They knew we were there, but they didn’t seem to care at all.”
Klassen and her husband watched the lynx move gracefully through the snowy landscape, observing the dynamics of their family group up close.
“When the mother stopped, they all stopped. And when he moved, the rest followed,” Klassen said. “Mother was gorgeous, almost regal. He took my breath away.”
Shortly after, the thrilling game ended as the Wildcats crossed the road and continued on their way.
Seeing the moon was fleeting, but for the happy couple, this memory will remain engraved forever.
“It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime encounter that neither Ron nor I will ever forget.” Klassen said:
